Press Release Body = Podspider for Windows offers you a powerful, convenient way to
automatically download all of the most important podcasts from around the world
directly to your PC.

Why waste time tinkering around with Apple iTunes or podcast portals, when Podspider
comfortably and automatically delivers the MP3 and MP4 podcasts you want right to
your doorstep?
Organized by type (audio or video), language, subject area and category, Podspider\'s
graceful design gives you a lightening quick overview of multiple thousands of
podcasts.

Quickly locate podcasts from around the world using simple search criteria, without
the troublesome effort of having to visit multiple internet directories.

Fast search, optimized search hit selection and the ability to play podcasts even
while they are downloading. Instant gratification brought to you by Podspider and
its built-in MiniPlayer. No more complicated fiddling around with Windows Media
Player or Apple iTunes QuickTime.

Podspider takes an innovative leap ahead of other solutions with its built-in
MiniPlayer, which lets you start listening to the podcasts you\'ve selected even
while they are still downloading. The automated synchronization of podcasts to any
MP3 player, Apple iPod or mobile phone is also one of Podspider\'s built-in
functions. Podspider\'s elegant design supports super-easy, intuitive operation, and
its technology brings you unlimited hours of entertainment.
Installation:
The installation of PodSpider runs almost automatically. Just follow the
instructions of the installation program.

Initializing:
Every time the program starts, PodSpider synchronizes with the podcast database on
the internet. This procedure can sometimes take some time.

Quick start:
Podcast search: On the Subscribed podcasts tab, click browse. This opens the search
dialog. Here you have options to narrow the search. In the Fulltext field you can
narrow the selection of shown podcasts through different search patterns (i.e.
News). Another search criteria is Theme and Category. Choose first Theme, then
Category, and if you want, also, a sub-category for the desired station. You can
also select a specific language for the podcasts. When you want to listen to, for
example, only German podcasts, then choose German in the Language field. Now only
German podcasts will be listed. All these search methods can be used cumulatively to
return very precise results.
Subscribe to podcasts: Select the podcast that you want to download from the search
results. Click on Subscribe auto. Now the newest episodes of the selected podcast
will be automatically downloaded. As soon as this podcast receives new episodes,
these will also be automatically downloaded.
Listening to the episodes: Open the media files tab, choose the episode you want to
listen to and click play..

Manual download of podcasts:
To download additional episodes of a podcast, choose them in the subscribed podcasts
tab, and then click on download. The new episodes will now be downloaded and you can
listen to them as shown above.

OPML Support:
The new version of PodSpider supports dynamic OPML. A member of a podcast portal may
want to arrange all his podcasts from the portal; PodSpider has a function that
allows you to set up dynamic OPML links. In the Subscribed podcasts tab click on
OPML to open the OPML dialog. Here you can administer your OPML sources. Click on
the Add button in the OPML dialog, to open a dialog where you can enter the address
that you received from the portal where you are a member. Then click on subscribe.
Now all the existing podcasts in OPML will be added to the subscribed podcasts list
and PodSpider downloads the newest episodes.

Synchronization with portable devices:
If you own an USB-MP3 Player, PodSpider can transfer downloaded episodes onto the
MP3-Player. PodSpider can also synchronize the downloaded episodes with the ones on
the portable device.

MP3 Player setup: Connect your MP3 Player to the USB port of your computer. Click
on the Media files tab. When you click for the first time on Synchronization, an
options dialog will be opened, which you can open later from the options toolbar.
In this dialog you can select your MP3 Player device where the episodes will be
transferred. You can also specify a sub-folder that PodSpider should use for
synchronization. You can define a storage limit which PodSpider will consider when
it synchronizes with the MP3 Player.
Synchronize: If the MP3 Player is connected and the device correctly set up as
described above, PodSpider will recognize the episodes saved on the player.
PodSpider marks the episodes with an appropriate symbol, based on whether the
episodes exist on the player, the computer or on both sides. To transfer a file to
the player, mark the file in PodSpider and click on Export. If you want to delete
the file from the player, click on "Clear". The file will remain saved on your
computer. With the delete button you can permanently delete the file from both local
machine and portable device.
